It’s time for the annual Quinte Trash Bash – our community-wide spring cleanup!
Quinte Trash Bash is a cooperative event between the City of Quinte West, City of Belleville and the Township of Tyendinaga. They too will be holding their community-wide spring clean up – same date, same time.
Volunteering to help clean up your community? Here’s what you need to know:
Supply Kit contains: Nitrile gloves, garbage bags, clear/white bags for recyclables
Kits will be available of the 25th at the following locations:
Contact person: Melanie Morrish (613) 967-3200 x.3219 | mmorrish@city.belleville.on.ca City of Belleville
Step 1: Register yourself at City Hall or online and choose an area where you would like to pick. Why are we asking you to register? It helps us identify the areas that have been cleaned and how many people are participating in the event.
Step 2: Pick litter on Saturday April 25 between 9:00am and 2:00pm.
Step 3: Bring your collected garbage to the dumpsters at Bridge/Sidney (by fairgrounds). If you don’t have wheels to drop off the trash, contact me to leave your items at curbside.
Step 4: Be sure to tell us how many bags you collected. It helps us collect information for our sponsors.
Too big, too dangerous to haul?
If you come across something really big or heavy (such as furniture) or something too dangerous to pick up (such as needles, condom, flammable liquids), take note of the location. Do not pick it up. Let us know and we’ll arrange to pick it up.
