Belleville Ontario: At 0550 hours on 11 October the Belleville Police Service was called to a disturbance near the intersection of North Front Street and Bell Blvd. It was determined that an assault had occurred at this location. Further information on the investigation will be released by the Criminal Investigations Branch.

 

 

Mischief

 

UPDATE –Assault – October 12th, 2017 -  Charges Laid

 

Following an investigation by members of the Criminal Investigations Division of the Belleville Police Service, on the 11th of October 2017, Nicole Riley, 32 years old of Mississauga Ontario was charged with one count each of Aggravated Assault and Assault with a Weapon. Riley is held for a bail hearing on today’s date.

 

At approximately 5:50am on the 11th of October, the victim and accused that are known to each other were walking in the area of North Front Street and Bell Boulevard. A verbal argument ensued and escalated when the accused stabbed the victim in the upper chest. The victim was taken to Belleville General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The Victim was treated and released. The accused fled the scene but was located at approximately 2:45pm on the 12th of October in the North end of Belleville.

Assault - Original Release- October 12th, 2017

Belleville Ontario; At approximately 1700 hours police we called to an east end home for a report of mischief to property. On arrival police found that a single family home and all its contents had been badly damaged by an individual. As a result 22 year old Belleville man was arrested and charged with Mischief over $5000 and breach of recognizance. The male was held for a show cause hearing on 12 October.
