Arrest on Warrants
Belleville - Two males were arrested and released overnight on separate warrants held by The Belleville Police Service. Shortly after 9:00 P.M. 35 year old Belleville resident Christopher Gunn was arrested in Belleville’s east end on an outstanding warrant with relation to a break and enter from August of last year. He was released on a promise to appear with a May court date. Later in the evening, Prince Edward County OPP arrested 31 year old County resident Dillon Armstrong on warrants Held by The Belleville Police Service. The warrants were in relation to his failing to appear in February of this year to answer to a charge of assault stemming from an incident in September of 2017. He too was released on a promise to appear with a May court date.
Belleville – A 29 year old female was charged last night after turning herself in to police in relation to a threats investigation from earlier this week. Police responded Thursday to a government building in the city’s core after a female became irate, threatened staff and threatened to burn the building down. There were no injuries or damage as a result of the incident, however, Belleville resident Carly Crevier was charged with two counts of threats, one of bodily harm and one for threatening to burn the building down. She was released on a promise to appear and is due in court next month to answer to the charges.
Motor Vehicle Accidents
Belleville – Police responded to 5 motor vehicle accidents in the past 24 hours none of which resulted in serious injury however two drivers were charged. One driver was charged with failing to stop for a red light in relation to an accident at the intersection of Dundas and Pinnacle shortly after 8:00 P.M. and another was issued a turning violation for their part in an accident around 6:00 P.M. at the intersection of Sidney St. and College.
