Public Complaint System

As of October 19 2009, the province of Ontario implemented a new public complaint process. The Office of the Independent Police Review Director (OIPRD) was established as acivilian agency that is not associated to any Police Services in the province of Ontario.

If you have a complaint about the conduct of a Police Officer, about the services or policy of the Belleville Police Service, you may file a formal complaint, by contacting the OIPRD directly at (http://www.oiprd.on.ca/) or by attending at our headquarters and completing a public complaint form. Our service will then forward your complaint to the attention of the OIPRD who will maintain jurisdiction of the complaint until it is resolved.

If you have any questions or concerns you may contact our professional standards branch at (613 966-0882 ext 2200.
