Community Policing Volunteers

Community Policing Volunteers - Belleville is a highly valued partner of the Belleville Police Service.

The Community Policing Volunteer Program is comprised of a dedicated group of individuals that create and maintain a dynamic partnership between the Belleville Police Service and the citizens of Belleville through the sharing of ideas and addressing issues of common concern in order to preserve and enhance the quality of life in our community. Volunteers participate in a wide variety of community and police based events throughout the city.

There are many benefits to volunteering with Community Policing. Our volunteers give back to the community while learning valuable communication skills, observation skills, team work skills, while developing great friendships. Aspiring police officers are able to greatly increase their competitiveness as a potential applicant.

Our basic requirements include:

  • Meet minimum age requirement of 18 years old
  • Submit an application including an application form and current resume
  • Provide two references with contact details
  • In-person interview
  • Provide two pieces of identification (one with photo)
  • Pass a security clearance
