Aggravated Assault

Belleville, Ontario – On September 23rd, 2018, at 6:55 a.m. police responded to a street disturbance on Grier Street. An adult male required medical treatment for head injuries and was taken to BGH by paramedics. The male underwent surgery for a broken nose and orbital bone. He permanently lost the sight in his left eye. A warrant was obtained for the arrest of Daniel James Woodstock, 23 years of age, of Belleville for aggravated assault and breach of probation. Police are still seeking witnesses from this attack.

Woodstock is currently in custody as a result of a Robbery investigation from last week. On October 5th, 2018, at 6:20 a.m. police attended at a north end motel in relation to a Robbery. The attendant at been robbed at knifepoint by Woodstock. Woodstock and two young persons were arrested a short time later. The attendant was not injured.

Woodstock’s bail hearing was put over to October 11th, 2018. His charges from the Robbery include:

  1. Robbery with a weapon

  2. Mischief under $5000.00

  3. Possession of a prohibited weapon

  4. Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking

  5. Breach of probation

     

     

    Stolen boat trailer

    Belleville, Ontario – On October 10th, 2018, police attended at a west end marina in relation to a stolen boat trailer. Taken was a 1992 Kara trailer – silver in colour. It has an Ontario plate W77350 on it. It went missing between July 28th and September 25th.

     

    Motor Vehicle Collisions

    Belleville, Ontario – On October 10th, 2018, police responded to four motor vehicle collisions. One was deemed to be a minor accident.

    At 10:05 a.m. police attended on Bridge Street West at Highland Avenue in relation to a two-car collision. One motorist was charged with “disobey stop sign – fail to stop”. One car was towed from the scene. There were no injuries.

    At 2:15 p.m. police attended on Bell Blvd in relation to a two-car collision. One motorist was charged with “disobey red light – fail to stop”. There were no injuries.

    At 10:17 p.m. police attended on Pinnacle Street at Moira Street in relation to a two-car collision. One motorist was charged with “careless driving”. There were no reported injuries.
