Belleville Police Service responded to 76 calls for service from the 12th of February 2020 at 5:00 a.m. to the 13th of February 2020 at 5:00 a.m.

Warrant arrest

Belleville ON- On the 12th of February 2020 at 6:30 a.m. Belleville Police Responded to the east end regarding a report of a male acting strangely outside a business.  A check of the male confirmed he had an outstanding warrant from Lennox and Addington county.  40-year Isaac Richmond of no fixed address was turned over to the OPP.

Motor vehicle collisions

Belleville ON-On the 12th of February 2020 at 8:00 a.m. Belleville Police responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Pine and Albion Streets.  There were no injuries and as a result of the investigation one of the drivers was charged with making an unsafe turn.

Belleville ON-On the 12th of February 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Belleville Police responded to a three-vehicle collision near the intersection of North Front and College Streets.  No one was injured and as a result of the investigation one of the drivers was charged with following to close.

Belleville ON-On the 12th of February 2020 at 3:00 p.m. Belleville Police responded to a vehicle collision near the intersection of North Front Street and Bell Blvd.  No injuries were reported and as a result of the investigation one of the drivers was charged with failing to yield from a private driveway.

Youths arrested

Belleville ON-On the 12th of February 2020 at 5:30 p.m. Belleville Police were called to a north end business regarding a shoplifting incident.  4 young males were observed stealing items from the business but had left prior to police arrival.  Belleville Police were notified a few hours later that the 4 youths had been arrested by the Quinte West OPP for further thefts from their area.  As a result of the investigation a 17-year-old, a 15-year-old and two 14-year-olds from Toronto were charged with theft and possession of stolen property.  They were released with a court date of the 10th of March 2020.
