The Belleville Police responded to 66 calls for service between 5:00 a.m. on the 13th of September 2021 and 5:00 a.m. on the 14th of September 2021.
Belleville ON- On the 13th of September 2021 at 9:00 p.m. Belleville Police were called to a downtown business regarding an unwanted female. Officers arrived on scene and located the female and determined that she was heavily intoxicated and continued to cause issues. The 33-year-old Belleville resident was arrested for her own protection. The female was charged with being intoxicated in a public place contrary to section 31(4) of the liquor license act and held until deemed sober.
Belleville ON-On the 13th of September 2021 at 11:00 p.m. officers were called to an East end parking lot regarding a disturbance. Officers arrived on scene and determined that the disturbance was over, but while speaking to one of the involved parties it was learned that she was currently wanted on two warrants for theft under $5000 contrary to section 334 and failing to comply with an appearance notice contrary to section 145(3) of the Criminal Code. 37-year-old Melissa McGiffen of Belleville was arrested and later released on an undertaking with a court date on the 21st of October 2021.
