A Belleville Police officer's role in a high-speed car chase and rescue of a woman last year was highlighted Monday, August 31, 2020.

Constable Scott Tinsley was recognized by the Police Association of Ontario for his work in September 2019 that led to a man receiving abduction charges.

Tinsley was nominated for a 2020 PAO Hero of the Year Award in the On-Duty Difference Maker Uniform/Sworn Officer category.
