Belleville Police Service responded to 56 calls for service from the 27th of March 2020 at 5:00 a.m. to the 28th of March 2020 at 5:00 a.m.
Arrested on warrants
Belleville ON- On 27 March 2020, at 6:45 p.m., officers observed a female known to be wanted walking on Front Street attempting to flag down vehicles. Police spoke with the female and confirmed that she was wanted for theft and failing to appear in court. Louise Hall, 40, of Belleville was arrested and later released on an undertaking with a court date of 4 June 2020.
Later in the evening at 8:30 p.m., Belleville Police observed another wanted female walking on Dundas Street. The female was stopped by officers and arrested. Jaqueline Bloor, 28, of Belleville was wanted on 12 outstanding charges including theft, possession of heroin, several counts of breach of probation, and several counts of failing to attend court. She was released on an undertaking with a 4 June court date.
On 28 March 2020, at 1:20 a.m., police stopped a vehicle in the area of Sidney Street as the registered owner of the vehicle was wanted on charges of assault, break and enter, and failing to appear at court. Police identified the owner in vehicle as the wanted male, and he was arrested. Shawn Hiddleston, 31, of Belleville was held for a bail hearing on 28 March.
Driver charged with no insurance
Belleville ON- On 27 March 2020 at 9:45 p.m., Belleville Police observed a blue Volkswagen on Cannifton Road that had been involved in a pursuit with the police on 25 March. Police were aware that the vehicle was not insured from the pursuit, and the vehicle was stopped. The owner of the vehicle, a 49-year-old female from Belleville, was charged with operating a motor vehicle without insurance. She was issued a summons to appear in court on 1 June 2020.
