Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 62 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 17th of January, 2022 to 5:00 am on the 18th of January, 2022

Fraud

On the 17th of January, 2022, Belleville Police received a call for service regarding an internet fraud/scam.  The complainant advised a friend, on social media, had requested money and after the money was sent, the complainant discovered the friend’s social media account was hacked.  Belleville Police Service want to remind residents to be diligent when someone is asking for money over the internet or phone. Motor vehicle collisions

Belleville Police responded to only two motor vehicle collisions during yesterday’s heavy snow fall.  Only property damage reported with no injuries.  No charges were laid in either incident.
