Belleville Police are investigating the theft of an ATV from a North West residence. Sometime overnight thieves entered a residential garage and stole a 1997 blue Suzuki LX4 with tiger paw tires. The ATV was not plated.  



On April 1, 2009, at 1:30p.m, a marked police cruiser was involved in a motor vehicle collision on Dundas St West.  The officer was making a left turn from Coleman Street onto Dundas Street West on a green light when he was struck by a west bound vehicle that failed to stop for a red light.

A 69 year old Trenton woman was charged with Failed to Stop for Red Light under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario. There were no injuries.


Police are currently investigating a separate motor vehicle collision that occurred at approximately 2:00p.m. This collision occurred on Old Hwy 2 near Old Kingston Rd involving 2 vehicles.  One occupant was transported to Belleville General Hospital with minor injuries. A  Belleville man has been charged with making an Improper Lane Change under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
