Belleville Ontario- Fail to Remain Collision – Update Arrest

 

Belleville Police are asking for the public’s assistance regarding a fail to remain collision.  On Thursday the 29th of March 2014 at approx. 9:10Am Police responded to a report of a building having damage as a result of being hit by a vehicle.  There was a motor vehicle collision on Front Street north of Dundas Street sometime the previous evening and a vehicle struck a building causing minor damage. The vehicle then fled the scene. Police would like to speak to anyone that may have witnessed this incident or have information to assist in the investigation.  Witnesses are asked to contact Cst. On the 31st of March 2014, at 8Pm a 28yr old female from Belleville turned herself into Police. She was charged with failing to remain at the scene of an accident and released on a Promise to appear for court May 8th.

 

Belleville Ontario- Drug arrest

 

On the 31st of March 2014 at 4:30Pm a uniformed officer stopped a motor vehicle on Front Street for a minor traffic violation. Investigation revealed that there was a quantity of marijuana and methamphetamine in the vehicle. A 31yr old male from Belleville is charged with 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance, 2 counts of breach probation and using plates not authorized for vehicle. The 28yr old female driver was charged with 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance. Both were released on a promise to appear and undertaking for court May 15th.
