Theft- Mobility Scooter

Belleville, Ontario- On the 31st of January 2016 at 10:22Am Belleville Police investigated the theft of a mobility scooter while parked outside of a business on Sidney Street. Sometime during the previous hour unknown persons removed the mobility scooter from the sidewalk. The scooter is described as being blue in colour with a basket on the front. Anyone having information about this incident is asked to call Belleville Police or Quinte Crime stoppers.


Belleville, Ontario- On the 31st of January 2016 at approximately 9:42Pm Belleville Police received a report of a disturbance in the area of Pinnacle Street and McAnnany St.  Police attended and spoke with a female who reported she had been assaulted. Police located a 30yr old male from Belleville nearby and he was arrested. He is charged with assault and breach of probation. He is being held for a bail hearing on the 01 February 2016 in Belleville Provincial Court. The female received minor injuries that did not require medical attention.
