Disturbances
Belleville, Ontario - On December 31st, 2014, at 11:30 p.m. police attended at 180 Haig Road in relation to a disturbance on the second floor. A 52 year old Belleville man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act. He was charged with being intoxicated in a common area.
On January 1st, 2015, at 1:00 a.m. police attended on Pine Street St. at Chatham St. in relation to a fight call. One male required medical attention and was taken to Quinte Health Care by EMS. A 21 year old Trenton man was arrested at the scene for Assault causing bodily harm. A further search of the accused revealed several grams of marijuana in a cigarette package. He will appear in court on January 29th, 2015 on charges of Assault causing bodily harm and possession of a controlled substance. The victim, a male adult, sustained facial injuries and was released from the hospital.
On January 1st, 2015, at 1:45 a.m. police attended at a disturbance at Little Texas on North Front Street. A 19 year old Brighton man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act.
On January 1st, 2015, at 3:40 a.m. police attended on North Front Street in relation to a fight call. A 30 year old Belleville man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act.
RIDE Program
Belleville, Ontario – On New Year’s Eve, RIDE checks were conducted throughout the City. Two motorists provided breath samples into roadside screening devices. One driver passed, while the other received a three-day licence suspension. His vehicle was also towed. 297 cars were checked overnight.
