Selective Traffic Enforcement Initiative (STEP)

Belleville, Ontario: Belleville Police Service's ongoing commitment to road safety in our community continues with the theme of aggressive driving for the month of June.

Aggressive driving consists of careless driving, following too close, speeding, failing to yield the right of way among other behaviours.

The Belleville Police will be focusing on these offences during the month of June with a strong focus on speeding. With warmer temperatures, more and more people are taking to their bikes and walking. There is no questioning, speed kills, so police will be on the look out for speeders this month.
