Hallowe’en Safe Streets


Belleville, Ontario – Hallowe’en Safe Streets lived up to its name again this year. Helping out on the streets were Auxiliary Police Officers as well as Community Policing Volunteers.


The only police incident involved a scary “Jason” from the Friday the 13th series. Jason was popping out of the bushes in one neighbourhood scaring children and parents. Jason agreed to tone his act down.


Arrest on warrants


Belleville, Ontario – On October 31st, 2017, at 11:42 a.m. a 49-year-old Belleville man was arrested on Pinnacle Street on committal warrants held by Northumberland OPP as well as Napanee OPP. He was turned over to the OPP.


On October 31st, 2017 at 11:30 p.m. Belleville officers drove to Cobourg Police Station to return a woman wanted on warrants by the Belleville Police Service. The 24-year-old Cobourg woman was wanted on charges of possession of stolen property, breach of probation, failing to appear for fingerprints and failing to appear for court. She was held for a bail hearing on November 1st, 2017.





Belleville, Ontario – On November 1st, 2017, at 12:10 a.m. several calls were received about a disturbance on Burton Street. A garbage can had been thrown through a window of a residence. An ambulance was required for the suspect who had suffered a deep cut on her hand. The 19-year-old Belleville woman was later charged with Mischief under $5000.00 and will appear in court on December 7th, 2017.

Traffic charge


Belleville, Ontario – On October 31st, 2017, at 9:01 a.m. a traffic stop on Dundas Street West led to a charge against a 28-year-old Prince Edward County woman. She was charged with driving while under suspension and will appear in Traffic Court in December.
