Belleville Police responded to 63 calls for service between 5:00 a.m. on the 30th of September 2019 and 5:00 a.m. on the 1st of October 2019.

Warrants

Belleville, ON On the 30th of September 2019, at approximately 8:45 p.m. police officers were patrolling in the area of Bridge Street East and Church Street when they observed a male known to them for having warrants out for his arrest. 30-years-old Trevor Cox of Belleville, was arrested and held for a show cause hearing for the 1st of October 2019.

Scammers Going Door to Door

Belleville, ON – On the 30th of September 2019 officers investigated a duct cleaning company offering residential cleaning for 95 dollars. Little if any work was completed.  Suspects were driving a red minivan and no plate obtained. The Belleville Police Service is reminding the public to be mindful of scam artists going door to door.  Residents should be able to receive a receipt for services rendered.   

Liquor License Act

Belleville, ON -  On the 30th of September 2019, at approximately 7:35 p.m., officers were called to Moira Street West and Front Street for a report of a male passed out on the ground. On arrival, officers quickly ascertained that the male was heavily intoxicated due to the consumption of alcoholic beverages. A 43-years-old Belleville man was arrested under liquor license act for his own safety and later released with a Part I offence notice charged with being intoxicated in a public place.
