Accidents

Belleville, Ontario – On September 30th, 2015, at 12:53 p.m. police attended on West Moira Street at Tripp Ave in relation to an accident involving a car and a City transit bus. The driver of the car was charged with “pass-not in safety”. No one was injured.

On September 30th, 2015, at 3:41 p.m. police attended at the intersection of Catharine Street and Octavia Street in relation to two-car accident. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. No one was injured. One of the drivers was charged with “start from a stopped position – not in safety”.

Disturbances

Belleville, Ontario – On September 30th, 2015, at 6:13 p.m. police attended on Pinnacle Street and Bridge Street East as a male was observed stumbling into traffic. The male was also yelling at people. A 45 year old Belleville man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act. He was charged with being intoxicated in a public place.

On September 30th, 2015, at 8:22 p.m. police attended on Front Street as several calls were received about an intoxicated woman banging on storefront windows. A 29 year old Belleville woman was arrested for her own protection. She was charged with being intoxicated in a public place.

On October 1st, 2015, at 3:15 a.m. police attended at a residence on Fifth Street as a family member was damaging the contents of the home. A 37 year old Belleville man was arrested for breach of the peace.  Alcohol was a factor in this incident. No one was injured.

Bail Violations

Belleville, Ontario – On September 30th, 2015, at 11:05 p.m. officers were conducting bar checks in the downtown core when they recognized a male who had been released on bail. One of the conditions stipulated that the man was not to consume alcohol. 27 year old Kyle Paige was arrested as he was consuming alcohol. He was charged with breach of a recognizance and released with a court date of October 15th, 2015.
