Arrest on Warrants
Belleville, Ontario – On April 1st, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. a motorist was stopped for speeding in Prince Edward County by the OPP. A check revealed that the 41-year-old Prince Edward County man was wanted on outstanding warrants held by the Belleville Police Service. He was escorted to Belleville and held for a bail hearing on April 3rd, 2018.
Disturbances
Belleville, Ontario – On April 1st, 2018 at 3:15 p.m. police attended at an east end address regarding a disturbance. Paramedics took a woman to BGH for treatment. Once at the hospital the woman was the subject of another disturbance around 6:00 p.m. She had left prior to police arrival but had dropped the contents of her purse on the floor. Several items were left behind including a small quantity of cocaine. At 10:00 p.m. police attended at another disturbance at an apartment building on Dundas Street East. It was the same woman that was involved in the previous two disturbances. The 21-year-old Centre Hastings woman was arrested and lodged in the cells. She was charged with possession of a controlled substance. She will appear in court on May 7th, 2018.
