Assault with a Weapon

Belleville, Ontario On April 1st, 2013, at 5:05 a.m. police were called to a residence on Gordon Street in relation to a bail violation. A 39 year old Belleville man had been charged earlier in the night with assault and released on conditions. He returned to the Gordon Street residence contrary to his release conditions. He brandished a knife and threatened an adult male. He also struggled with a woman in the residence before fleeing on foot. No one was injured during this confrontation. The man was eventually arrested by police at 2:15 p.m. and held for bail. In addition to his original charge of assault, he now faces the following charges: Assault with a weapon X 2, Threats X 2, Break and enter, Breach of an undertaking X 2, and possession of marijuana.

Fraud

Belleville, Ontario On April 1st, 2013 at 10:05 a.m., police attended at a business located in the city's north end. A 50 year old Belleville man was arrested after attempting to defraud the store with a fraudulent return. This male had just been placed on probation for committing a similar fraud at the same store. He was held for bail on charges of Fraud under $5000.00 and Breach of probation.

Disturbance(s)

Belleville, Ontario On April 2nd, 2013, at 1:20 a.m., police responded to a Bleecker Ave. residence for the third disturbance during the night. A 51 year old Belleville man was arrested for breach of the peace and lodged in the cells. Alcohol was a factor in each visit.
