Traffic Delays Due to Motor Vehicle Collision on Bell Blvd.


Belleville Police Officers are on the scene of a motor vehicle collision on Bell Blvd in the area of the Canadian Tire store.  At least one vehicle has struck a hydro pole causing wires to come down across the roadway.  It is expected there may be some traffic delays and re routing while repairs are made.  Motorists are asked to plan an alternate route and avoid the area if possible.  The driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries.  The 2003 Pontiac Sunfire is a write-off.  Officers and hydro crews cleared the area approximately two hours after the collision.


Belleville Ontario On 27 March 2014 officers responded to an east end residence regarding a complaint of assault and breach of release conditions.  At the time the suspect had fled the residence and efforts by officers to locate the male were not successful.  On the 1st of April at approximately 3:00p.m.; the suspect returned to the residence.  The suspect fled again engaging the officers in a foot pursuit through numerous back yards.  Nicholas McMath, DOB 28 Aug 1989, of Oshawa, was attempting to gain access to apartments in another building when he was arrested.  He is being held for a show cause hearing charged with assault, utter threats to cause death, choking, and breach of recognizance.
