Belleville – On the 1st of February 2018 at approximately 10:30 P.M. police responded to a north end retail store with regards to a female who was being held by security for shoplifting. Investigation revealed that the 36 year old Kingston resident had multiple charges from other police services including thefts, possession of stolen property and failing to attend court as well as an outstanding arrest warrant from Brockville Police. She is being held in custody to appear before the courts at a show cause hearing on charges of theft under $5000.


Impaired Driver

Belleville – On the 2nd of February 2018 shortly after 2:30 A.M. police stopped a vehicle on Palmer Rd. The officer found the driver to be impaired and 35 year old Belleville resident Jamie Dopking was arrested. He was transported to The Belleville Police Service where he provided breath samples above the legal limit. Investigation revealed that he was also a suspended driver. Dopking was later released on a promise to appear with a court date later this month on charges of impaired driving, driving while over the legal limit, suspended driving and obstruct police as Dopking initially lied to police with regards to his true identity.
