On the 30th of June 2009, members of the Provincial Weapons Enforcement Unit, Project Longarm, Belleville K9 Services and the Belleville Emergency Response Team executed two CDSA search warrant(s) at residences on Coleman Street and Murney Street yesterday.
As a result of the warrant(s) two Belleville adult(s) were arrested and taken in to custody. Located inside the residence on Murney Street residence was a quantity of cocaine and $90,000 worth of marijuana from an indoor marijuana growing operation.
Charged with Production of Marijuana and Possession of Cocaine is 32 year old Belleville resident Bruce COPELAND. COPELAND was released on a Promise to Appear and OIC Undertaking with an August 2009 court date. The second male that was arrested was released unconditionally without charges.
Belleville, Ont. ? Belleville Police have charged a Quinte West male with three counts of Fraud Under $5000. It is alleged the accused placed an ad in a community news paper where he advertised his services as a ?handy man?. On at least three occasions he was offered a job and received payment for the same. The accused never started nor completed the job as agreed upon. Charged is Mark Pope, 40 years, from Quinte West. Belleville, Ontario ? On the 02nd of July 09 at approximately 7:07am Police were called to Dundas Street West near Mary Street to investigate a motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles. Ambulance attended the scene for medical assistance to be rendered to one of the involved drivers and both vehicles were towed from the scene as a result of the damages sustained. One of the involved drivers was charged with an offence under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario. .
Later this date at 1:43 pm Police responded to another collision near North Front Street and Tracey Street. Investigation revealed minor injuries to parties involved in this three vehicle accident. One of the involved drivers was charged with an offence under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario. Public works also attended the scene to render assistance for clean up of fluids on the roadway. One of the involved vehicles was towed from the scene as a result of damages.
Belleville, Ontario ? On the 02nd of July 2009 at 11:22 am Police attended a residence on Dunbar Street to execute a CDSA Search Warrant. A 26 year old male and a 28 year old female were taken into custody at the scene. As a result of the investigation, 26 year old William Spratt of Belleville, was charged with one count of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. He was later released on a Promise to Appear with a scheduled court date in July 2009. Also charged was 28 year old Jill Cameron of Belleville with one count of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. She was released from custody on a Promise to Appear with a court date in July 2009.
