Steady Canada Day


Belleville, Ontario – Belleville Police were keep busy on Canada with nearly 80 calls for service in a 24 hour span. No major incidents were reported to police. Two individuals were arrested for breach of the peace/public intoxication and held until they were sober and able to care for themselves.



Fail to Remain Collision


Belleville, Ontario – On July 1st at approx. 930pm police received a call about a motor vehicle collision on Dundas Street East at Dufferin Avenue. The suspect vehicle had left the scene of the collision and was stopped by police on Dundas Street West. The driver failed a road side screening device test and was arrested. The driver was transported to the Belleville Police Service where breath samples were given. Dylan Spackman 23 of Picton is charged with Operating a motor vehicle with over 80mgs of alcohol in his blood and fail to remain at the scene of an accident. There were no injuries reported.
