Break and Enter – Commercial Property

On Monday 01 June 2015 at 8:02 a.m. Belleville Police Service responded to a business in the Foxboro area where it was reported a break, enter and theft had occurred sometime over the weekend. Stolen was a quantity of copper metal, tools and other items. Anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Stephanie BESTED of the Belleville Police Service or Crime-stoppers.

Belleville Police again caution citizens to be guarded with their personal information.

Area residents are again receiving calls telling them they have won a cash prize from a common large business corporation or credit card company and then are requested to provide personal details or credit card information for identity verification.

Traffic Enforcement

On 01 June 2015 at 10:21 p.m. a Belleville Police Service Officer on patrol in the area of Foxboro on Highway #62 near Ashley Street observed 2 approaching northbound vehicles racing and clocked them on radar at 161kph in an 80kph zone. Both vehicles were successfully stopped by police nearby without incident.

Donald Allan GARNER age 21 years and James Shawn VANDERLINDE age 20 years, both of LaGlace, Alberta were charged under the Ontario Highway Traffic Act with Stunt Driving and have to return to Belleville for court on 29 June 2015. Both men also had their Alberta registered vehicles immediately impounded for 7 days under the Stunt Driving Legislation.
