Belleville, Ontario – On May 1st, 2015 police responded to 5 accidents across the city. One of the accidents involved a car striking a deer on Blessington Road around 10:30 p.m..


Belleville, Ontario – On May 1st, 2015, at 7:50 p.m. police responded to 180 Haig Road in relation to an intoxicated male threatening the occupants of the building. One of the officers recognized a Belleville man who was wanted on outstanding warrants. The male resisted arrest and tried to ingest a small amount of drugs that he had in his pocket.  The drugs were seized and a 25 year old Belleville man was held for a bail hearing on charges of possession of a controlled substance and two counts of breach of probation. It was then pointed out to officers that this male was not the source of the problem.  Officers located the source and a 40 year old Belleville man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act.

Impaired Driver

Belleville, Ontario – On May 2nd, 2015, at 12:40 p.m. an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on N. Front Street. A 37 year old Peterborough man was arrested for impaired driving.  He will appear in court in Belleville on May 21st, 2015.
