Break and Enter

Belleville Ont, On 1 September 2019, Belleville Police attended a break and enter at a Bell Blvd business. Between 9:00 pm on 31 Aug 2019 and 01 Sept 2019 at 8:00am, unknown suspects cut a hole in a fence and entered a construction yard. Once inside, the suspects removed 5 blue Makita compressors and 8 rolls of sure deck roofing. The investigation is continuing, and anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Belleville Police.
 

Drug Offences

Belleville Ont: On 01 Sept 2019 at 305 am an officer on patrol observed a male that he knew to have a warrant for his arrest for breaching an undertaking. . The male was arrested and subsequent to being searched a small quantity of methamphetamine was located in one of his pockets. The male was searched again at the police station and a small quantity of crack cocaine, a set of scales, and another small amount of methamphetamine was found. Christopher Thirwall, a 38 yr old Belleville man was charged with 2 counts of breach of recognizance and 2 counts of possessing a narcotic. He was held for a bail hearing on 03 Sept 2019.
 

Break and Enter

Belleville Ont, on 02 Sept 2019 police were called to an address on Ritz Rd in regards to a break and enter. Upon arrival police received information that an unknown suspect entered the residence sometime between 30 Aug 2019 at 6:00 pm and 02 Sept 2019 at 2:00 pm and removed approximately five thousand dollars in coins. The Belleville Police Forensic unit attended and processed the scene. The investigation is continuing.

 

Traffic stop leads to multiple charges

Belleville Ont, On 2 September 2019, at 2:00am police stopped a vehicle on Elm Street after being notified it did not have the proper license plates on it. Police spoke to the 29 year-old driver from Belleville, and learned that she was the owner of the vehicle; however, she did not properly register the vehicle, nor did she have insurance. The driver was charged with 7 offences including driving under suspension, driving with no insurance, using a validation sticker not intended for the vehicle, and using plates not authorized for the vehicle. She will appear in court in October.
