Motor Vehicle Collision – Belleville, Ontario
At approximately
2:15 pm on September 1, 2013 officers with the Belleville Police along with EMS
and the Belleville Fire Department attended the scene of a single motor vehicle
collision on Mudcat Lane. The 34 year old male involved had been driving a
motorcycle and was thrown from the bike. He suffered serious but non-life
threatening injuries and was transported to Quinte Healthcare – Belleville by
ambulance. The Belleville Police Service Traffic Enforcement Unit was called in
and the accident is still under investigation. Anyone with any information

Missing Person – Belleville, Ontario.
At approximately 2:50 pm on September 1, 2013
police were called to a Haig Road residence to investigate a report of a
missing female youth. Danielle Tiffin, aged 15 was last seen in the Dundas
Street East / Haig Road area of the city at approximately 9:00 pm on August 31st.
She is described as being 5’2” tall, 125 lbs with black shoulder length hair
and blue eyes. She was reportedly wearing blue jeans, white shoes, and a
t-shirt. Anyone with any information on her whereabouts is asked to call Quinte
Crimestoppers or the Belleville Police Service.
Disturbance – Belleville, Ontario.
At approximately 12:40 am on September 2, 2013
police were called to a Front Street residence to investigate a fight occurring
on the sidewalk. Upon arrival the altercation was broken up and a male who had
instigated the fracas was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested for his own
protection and transported to the Belleville Police Service where he was later
released on a Provincial Offences Notice. A 52 year old Belleville man faces a
charge of Public Intoxication.
Impaired Driver – Belleville, Ontario
At approximately 1:17 am on September 2, 2013
police received a report of a vehicle running off the roadway on Hamilton Road
approximately 1 km west of Wallbridge-Loyalist Road. Officers from both the
Quinte West O.P.P. and the Belleville Police Service responded and the driver
was found uninjured with the vehicle. She was arrested for Impaired Driving and
transported to the Belleville Police Service where she provided samples of her
breath that were over the legal limit for alcohol. Ivy Lynch, 34, of Belleville
was charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80MG. She was later released on a
Promise To Appear with a court date of October 10, 2013.
