Warrants

Belleville, Ontario – On September 1st at 6:30pm Belleville Police observed a wanted female suspect walking on Front Street. A 35 year old female from Belleville was arrested without incident. The accused was wanted for failing to appear in court. She will appear in video remand court later this morning.

 

Dangerous Driving

Belleville, Ontario – On September 1st at 6:50pm Belleville Police responded to a vehicle driving on the wrong side of the road on Dundas Street East near the Bayview Mall. The vehicle eventually came to a stop off the roadway without incident. A 36 year old Belleville man was arrested for driving while disqualified. The accused was on two separate criminal prohibition orders not to drive. The accused will appear in video remand court later this morning

 

Robbery

Belleville, Ontario – On September 1st at 11:30pm Belleville Police responded to a robbery at the Gas Bar at the Ten Acre Truck Stop on Wallbridge Loyalist Road. A male suspect demanded money from the till – he was denied, then he grabbed the female employee’s cell phone and debit card. She was able to wrestle back her phone as the male suspect fled from the store with her debit card. The suspect was apprehended by another employee and held for police. Alcohol was a factor in the incident. No one was injured. A 32 year old Toronto man Shih-Chien Chien was charged with Robbery and later released back to the Toronto area with a promise to appear and undertaking conditions. He will return to Belleville Court in early October.
