Intoxicated Persons ?

At approximately 12:42 am on April 3, 2009 police were called to a North Front Street bar to investigate a report of a suspicious male checking car doors in the parking lot. On arrival they found the male to be intoxicated and arrested him for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act. A second male who was found nearby was also found to be intoxicated and was similarly arrested. Both males were transported to the Belleville Police Service. A 21 year old Deseronto man and a 19 year old Carrying Place man face charges of Public Intoxication.

 

Impaired Driver ?

At approximately 2:05 am on April 3, 2009 an officer on routine patrol observed a suspicious vehicle leaving a North Front Street Bar. The vehicle had no headlights on and struck a curb exiting onto North Front Street blowing a tire in the process. The female driver was stopped and arrested for Impaired Driving. She was transported to the Belleville Police Service where she was administered and failed a breathalyzer test. Charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80MG is a 22 year old Belleville woman who was released on a Promise to Appear.

 

12 Hour Suspension ?

At approximately 3:30 am on April 3, 2009 an officer on routine patrol stopped a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of a North Front Street bar. The female driver abruptly shut off her car and jumped out of the driver?s seat when she observed a marked police cruiser approaching. The driver was placed on a roadside breathalyzer and blew a warn. A 22 year old Brighton woman was issued a 12 hour licence suspension and her vehicle was towed from the scene.     

 

Break and Enter ?

At approximately 4:08 am on April 3, 2009 officers responded to an intrusion alarm at a Bell Boulevard restaurant and on arrival found that a window had been smashed out. Several officers arrived a short time later and a male was observed inside the business smashing items. After gaining entry to the building, the officers arrested the male without incident. A 20 year old male from Bath was taken to the Belleville Police Service and later released on a Promise to Appear on charges of Break and Enter and Mischief Under $5000.
