Motor Vehicle Collisions
Belleville, Ontario – On February 2nd, 2017, at 12:24 p.m. police attended at a two-car accident on North Front Street south of Tracey Street. One driver reported minor injuries. A 28-year-old Belleville woman was charged with careless driving.
On February 2nd, 2017, at 8:42 p.m. police attended on Mineral Road in relation to a single vehicle accident. A northbound car had lost control, left the roadway and struck a utility pole. There was minor damage to the pole, while the car was towed from the scene. The driver was not injured. A 17-year-old Belleville woman was charged with failing to drive in marked lane.
Bail Violations
Belleville, Ontario – On February 2nd, 2017, at 2:56 p.m. police attended on Isabel Street in relation to a male breaching his bail conditions. A 24-year-old Belleville man was arrested for three counts of breaching his recognizance. He was held for a bail hearing on February 3rd, 2017.
Impaired Driver
Belleville, Ontario – On February 2nd, 2017, at 9:22 p.m. an officer on patrol observed a vehicle drive through the stop sign on Harriett Street and Coleman Street. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was placed on the roadside screening device. The driver registered a “Fail”. A 41-year-old Belleville man was charged with “over 80 mgs.” His car was impounded for seven days. He will appear in court on February 16th, 2017.
