Impaired Driving
Belleville, Ontario - On July 3rd, 2009, at 2:30 a.m. an Officer on patrol observed a car traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on North Front Street.  The car was estimated to be traveling at approximately 120 km/h on the rain slickened roadway.  The officer attempted to stop this vehicle near North Front Street and Earl Street., but the driver failed to pull over.  The vehicle continued westbound on Harriet Street at the reduced speed of 40 Km/h, however continuing to flee from Police.  Once on Wallbridge Crescent, the vehicle pulled into a driveway.  At this point the driver was removed from the vehilce and arrested.  

A 30 year old Belleville man is charged with Impaired Driving, Over 80 mgs, Dangerous Driving, and Flight from Police. The driver was also an unlicenced driver.  He is scheduled to appear in court in August 2009 to answer to the charges.

 
Motor Vehicle Collisions 
Belleville, Ontario - On the 03d of July 2009 between the hours of 11:30 am and 1:30 pm, Police have responded to three seperate motor vehicle collisions throughout the city.  All three incidents were minor in nature and parties were referred to the Collision Reporting Centre at the Belleville Police Service.
