Break and Enter- Commercial: Belleville, Ontario

Police responded to a break and enter complaint to a commercial premise on Wilson Avenue. Investigation revealed that between July 1st and July 2ndunknown person(s) entered the commercial business. Once inside the building suspects ransacked the office. Anyone with any information about this break and enter is asked to call the Belleville Police Service or Quinte Crimestoppers.

Animal Complaint- Belleville, Ontario

Police responded to a report of a black bear wandering around residences located on Highway 62. Animal Control officers and Ministry of Natural Resources were contacted. Residents are advised not to approach the animals and that at this time of year bears will wander looking for food. Residents are encouraged not to place garbage out in containers where it can be accessed by animals.

House Fire- Belleville Ontario

On the 3rd of July 2013 at 1:15Am officers on patrol located a house full of smoke on St Charles Street. Belleville Fire responded and extinguished the fire. No residents were in the home at the time of the fire. Belleville Police and Fire will continue the investigation.
