Arrest on warrants
Belleville, Ontario – On March 2nd, 2017, at 9:33 a.m. officers were dealing with a barking dog complaint on Sidney Street. A check on one of the involved parties revealed that there was a warrant for his arrest from Ottawa for assault causing bodily harm. The 28-year-old Belleville man was arrested on the strength of the warrant. He was turned over to the Ottawa police officers later in the day.
On March 2nd, 2017, at 7:30 p.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop on George Street. A check revealed that the driver was wanted by the Belleville Police Service on an outstanding warrant for “take vehicle without owner’s consent”. The 38-year-old Belleville man was released from custody with a courtdate of March 30th, 2017.
Belleville, Ontario – On March 2nd, 2017, at 12:27 p.m. officers attended on Pinnacle Street in relation to an assault complaint. A woman advised that she had been assaulted by another woman. The suspect was located at 3:30 p.m. at which time a 28-year-old Belleville woman was arrested. She was held for a bail hearing on March 3rd, 2017 on charges of assault and breach of probation.
Belleville, Ontario – On March 3rd, 2017, at 12:50 a.m. police attended at a fight call in a parking lot on North Front Street at Bell Blvd. The initial report indicated that three males were fighting. They left in a pick-up truck and were last seen heading south. The truck was stopped and two passengers in the truck were arrested. A 22-year-old Belleville man was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place. He was issued a provincial offence notice. The second male had been released on an undertaking with conditions which included “abstain from alcohol”. The 23-year-old Centre Hastings man was charged with breaching a condition of his undertaking. He will appear in court on March 30th, 2017. No one was injured in the original disturbance.
