Accidents
Belleville, Ontario – On September 2nd, 2014 police attended at 12 accident scenes. Ten of these accidents occurred between 2:45 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Of the ten accidents, 3 accidents occurred at the same intersection – Wallbridge Loyalist Road at Bell Blvd.
At 8:32 a.m. police attended on Applewood Drive in relation to a two vehicle accident.
At 11:41 a.m. police attended at Bell and Sidney as a car had struck a cyclist. The cyclist suffered minor injuries. The investigation is continuing.
At 2:44 p.m. police attended on Wallbridge-Loyalist Rd at Bell Blvd in relation to a three car accident. One of the drivers was charged with failing to yield to traffic.
At 3:11 p.m. police attended on Dundas Street West in relation to a minor two-car accident.
At 3:18 p.m. police attended on N. Front St. in relation to a two car accident. One of the drivers was charged with following too closely as well as being an unlicenced driver.
At 3:20 p.m. police re-attended Wallbridge-Loyalist Rd at Bell Blvd in relation to a two-car accident.
At 3:22 p.m. police attended on Bell Blvd. at Hannah Court in relation to a two-car accident.
At 3:41 p.m. police attended on West Moira St. at Howard St. in relation to a two-car accident. One of the drivers was charged with careless driving.
At 3:45 p.m. police re-attended Wallbridge-Loyalist Rd at Bell Blvd in relation to a two-car accident. Both cars were heavily damaged and had to be towed from the scene. One of the drivers was charged with careless driving
At 4:02 p.m. police attended on Dundas St. West in relation to a two-car accident.
At 4:22 p.m. police attended on N. Front St. at Bell Blvd. in relation to a two-car accident. One of the drivers was treated by EMS for minor injuries.
At 4:37 p.m. police attended on Dundas St. West at Wallbridge-Loyalist Rd as a single vehicle had slid off the roadway into the ditch.
Break and Enter
Belleville, Ontario –On September 2nd, 2014 at 4:40 p.m. police attended on Sarah Court in response to a residential break-in. A quantity of jewelry and electronics was taken. As a result of the ongoing investigation, a 31 year old Belleville man was arrested on West Moira St. at 11:20 p.m. He remains in custody and will appear for a bail hearing on September 3rd, 2014 on a charge of break, enter and theft. The investigation is continuing.
