Liquor License Act

Belleville, On – On 2 September, 2017 at 10:10 p.m., police responded to report of a male running into traffic.  Police located this male and observed the male to be intoxicated in a public place. He was arrested for his own protection.

Belleville, On – On 3 September, 2017 at 1:08 a.m., a taxi driver attended at BPS to request assistance with fare.  Investigation of this complaint resulted in the male fare being arrested for being intoxicated in a public place.

 

Disturbances

Belleville, On – On 2 September, 2017 at 6:34 a.m. police responded to a complaint of a disturbance on Ridley Street.  It was reported that someone was kicking at a door.  Investigation of this complaint resulted in a 23-year-old Belleville man being charged with mischief to property, breach of probation and three counts of breach of a recognizance.  He was held for a bail hearing on 3 September, 2017.

On September 2nd, 2017, at 1:05 p.m. officers arrested a 22-year-old Belleville man in relation to an overnight investigation. In that matter officers had attended at a Tracey Park Drive residence in relation to a disturbance. The investigation revealed that a woman had been pushed during an altercation. As she was calling 911 the accused grabbed the phone and threw it across the parking lot. The phone was damaged. The male was charged with assault, mischief, and two counts of breach of probation and held for a bail hearing on 3 September 2017. The woman was not injured.

On September 2nd, 2017, at 5:11 p.m. police attended at a residence on College Street East regarding a disturbance. A 26-year-old Belleville woman was arrested for breaching her recent bail conditions. She was charged with breach of a recognizance and held for a bail hearing on 3 September 2017.

 

Break and Enter

Belleville, On – On 2 September, 2017 at 8:35 a.m. police attended at a residence on Albert Street in response to a report of a break and enter to a garage.  The victims reported that unknown person(s) stole a Grey TREK bicycle. 

 

Traffic Enforcement

Belleville, On – On 2 September, 2017 at 3:48 p.m. officers on patrol initiated a traffic stop on North Front Street at Bell Blvd.  Investigation resulted in the driver, a 50-year old Kingston man being issued a ticket for Driving a Motor Vehicle with Open Container of liquor.

Belleville, On – 2 September, 2017 at 8:53 a.m. a patrol officer was mobile conducting traffic enforcement on Highway 62 and a vehicle was observed to be travelling excess 133 km/h in a posted 70 km/h zone.  The vehicle was seized for 7 days under the HTA and driver’s licence was suspended for 7 days. The 18-year-old Belleville man will appear in traffic court on a stunt driving charge.  

 

Suspicious Person

Belleville, ON – on 3 September, 2017 at 1:04 a.m., police received a report that a female entered into a residence uninvited and was unknown to police.  Police attended and located the female.  Investigation resulted in the female being arrested on outstanding warrants.  Donna Wapshaw (38 years of Belleville) will have a bail hearing on 3 September, 2017.
