Belleville, Ontario – The Belleville Police Service are investigating a report of a lone male who was robbed at knife point on the 3rd of February 2017 just before noon hour in the downtown area on the Bay Shore Trail.  The victim did not suffer any injuries.  The suspect is described only as wearing a black puffy jacket and jeans.   Anyone with information regarding this occurrence is requested to contact the Belleville Police Service or Crime Stoppers. 

Assault with a Weapon / Uttering threats

Belleville, Ontario – On the 3rd of February 2017, the Belleville Police Service responded to an initial call of a Break and Enter into an apartment unit.  Upon arrival by police and further investigation, it was learned that a male had caused damage to an apartment door, uttered threats and assaulted 2 persons with a small sword.  There were no injuries.  As a result, a 31 year old male of Belleville has been charged with one count of Mischief, 2 counts of uttering threats and 2 counts of Assault with a weapon.  The male was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of the 2nd of March 2017.
