 Belleville Police were informed of an armed robbery in the downtown area of the city occurring between 3pm and 4 pm on Friday September 2nd 2016.  A man was robbed at gunpoint of cash by a suspect brandishing a hand gun.  The suspect then fled the area.   Police have issued an arrest warrant for 37-year old Michael Christopher Huntley of Belleville on charges of: robbery using a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a weapon, and failing to comply with probation.  He is considered armed and dangerous.   Police advise Huntley should not be approached and urge citizens to call 911 if observed.  Anybody who may have information in this matter is asked to contact Detective-Sergeant Brad Lentini at (613)-966-0882 ext#2224 or e-mail at or Quinte Crimestoppers at: 1-800-222-8477.
