Fraudulent Credit Card

At about 1:30am 4 April 2009, police attended a downtown bar to arrest a 24 year old Belleville male for Possession of a Fraudulent Credit Card and Breaching a condition of his Probation Order.  He is being held over the weekend to appear for his Show Cause Hearing on 6 April 2009. 

Mischief and Theft from Auto

On the 4th April 2009 around 4:40am police responded to a prowler call near Prince Of Wales Drive and College Street East.  Two males were reported in the area breaking into vehicles.  Officers arrived on scene and a short foot chase resulted in a 19 year old Belleville male being arrested. The second suspect a 20 year old Napanee male was located a few blocks away.  He resisted arrest and assaulted officers. 

Damage to property included broken vehicle windows and personal items being stolen. 

The 19year old male was charged with Mischief, Theft and Possession of Stolen Property; he was released with a court date in May. 

The 20 year old Napanee male was held in custody pending a bail hearing on 6 April 2009, charged: 3 counts of Mischief, Theft, and Possession of stolen property, Resist arrest, Breach of Probation and 2 counts of Assault Police.  Officers were not injured.


Mischief to Property

On 4th April 2009, around 11:10pm, officers observed 3 young males tagging lamp standards on the water front trail behind Front Street Belleville.  The youths were apprehended and transported to their respective parents.  Investigation is continuing into charges against all three of the 13 year old males.
