Belleville Ontario: Belleville Police responded to an incident on Cannifton Road in the early morning hours of January 1st. On arrival officers found three males who were suffering from injuries that included wounds inflicted by a knife. All three males required treatment at Belleville General Hospital for their injuries that were non-life threatening. Two of the males were arrested at the scene.

Members of the Criminal Investigations Branch continue to investigate the incident. Mitchell EMPEY 22 of Kingston is charged with one count of assault with a weapon and one count of assault. Jacob McCardle of Belleville is charged with one count of assault. Both parties have been released from custody with numerous conditions and will appear in Belleville Court in mid-February.
