Belleville, Ontario – On January 3rd, 2018, at 3:27 p.m. officers attended on Tracey Park Drive in relation to a bail violation. A male party had attended at a residence that he was banned from going to. A 22-year old Belleville man was arrested for breaching his recognizance. He was held for a bail hearing on January 4th, 2018. His name has been withheld as his original charges were domestic-related.
Arrest on warrants
Belleville, Ontario – On January 3rd, 2018, at 3:17 p.m. officers attended on Geddes Street. A 24-year-old Belleville man was arrested on outstanding warrants. Aaron Woods was released with a court date of January 18th, 2018. His charges include fraud under $5000.00, uttering a forged document, possession of stolen property and failing to appear in court.
On January 3rd, 2018, at 7:42 p.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop on Bell Blvd. as the licence plates did not belong on the vehicle. A check on the driver and the passenger revealed that they were both wanted by the Belleville Police Service on outstanding warrants for fraud under $5000.00. Both charges stem from the same incident from August of 2017. Tara Lee Campbell, 41 years of age, and Austin Campbell, 21 years of age, both of Belleville, were released with court dates of January 25th, 2018. Ms Campbell was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act for using unauthorized plates.
Mischief/Unlawfully in a dwelling
Belleville, Ontario – On January 3rd, 2018, at 8:04 p.m. officers attended at a residence on John Street in relation to an unwanted person. The investigation revealed that a male had kicked in the door during a dispute with the homeowner. Officers located the male hiding behind the shower curtain in the bathroom. 28-year-old Trevor Cox of Belleville was arrested and charged with mischief under $5000.00 and being unlawfully in a dwelling house. He was released with a court date of February 1st, 2018. There were no injuries.
Motor Vehicle Collisions
Belleville, Ontario – On January 3rd, 2018, officers attended at five accident scenes.
At 10:24 a.m. officers responded to a single vehicle accident on Gilbert Street. A car had slid through a stop sign and struck a utility pole. There were no injuries.
At 4:14 p.m. officers attended on North Front Street at Harriett Street in relation to a minor two-car accident. It was referred to the Collision Reporting Centre.
At 4:29 p.m. officers attended on College Street West in relation to a two-car accident. One motorist was charged. There were no injuries.
At 5:02 p.m. officers attended at a parking lot on Bell Blvd. in relation a minor two-car accident. There were no injuries.
At 9:57 p.m. officers attended on Tracey Street in relation to a minor two-car accident.
There were no injuries.
