Hit and Run Accident

Belleville, Ontario – On July 3rd, 2015, at 11:47 a.m. a male was struck by a car in a parking lot on Dundas St. E.  The male ended up on the hood of the car before rolling off. The car failed to remain at the scene and was last seen heading northbound on Herchimer Avenue. The car was described as a newer white Kia Sonoma. The male suffered minor injuries but did not require medical attention.

Shoplifter

Belleville, Ontario – On July 3rd, 2015, at 12:02 p.m. police attended at a north end business in relation to a shoplifter. A 27 year old Belleville woman had been arrested by store security for leaving the store with $1400.00 worth of electronics. She was charged with theft under $5000.00 and will appear in court in August.

Arrested on warrants

Belleville, Ontario – On July 3rd, 2015, at 2:05 p.m. police arrested a 16 year old female on an outstanding warrant. She was held for a bail hearing on July 4th, 2015.

On July 3rd, 2015, at 10:55 p.m. police arrested a 20 year old male on an outstanding warrant. He was held for a bail hearing on July 4th, 2015.

7-day licence suspension

Belleville, Ontario – On July 4th, 2015, at 1:05 a.m. an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on Front Street. A 34 year old Belleville man registered a “warn” on a roadside screening device.  This was his second warning which resulted in a 7 day licence suspension.
