Break and Enter

Belleville, Ontario – On June 3rd, 2013 at 11:09 a.m. police attended at a residence on Dixie Place in relation to a break and enter. The homeowner reported that sometime overnight the home was entered and a WII entertainment system was stolen.

Shoplifters

Belleville, Ontario –On June 3rd, 2013, at 2:45 p.m. police attended at a store on Bell Blvd in relation to a shoplifter. A 26 year old Belleville woman was arrested by store security for stealing fishing and camping equipment. She will appear in court on July 11th, 2013 on a charge of theft.

On June 3rd, 2013, at 3:20 p.m. police attended at a store on Bell Blvd. in relation to a shoplifter. The staff confronted the suspect after he had stolen four flat screen TV's. The suspect fled on foot and was observed getting into a van. A witness observed the van going west on the 401. Brighton OPP officers stopped this van at the Brighton exit and two males were taken into custody. Belleville officers collected the two males as well as the stolen property in the van. In addition to the TV's, police recovered tins of baby formula, DVD's, and clothing. The approximate value of the property is $6000.00.

A 40 year old Mississauga man was charged with possession of stolen property and held for Bail. A 41 year old Toronto man was charged with possession of stolen property, theft, and resist arrest. He was also wanted for a similar theft at the same store on May 11th. An additional theft charge was laid and he too was held for a bail hearing. A further check revealed that this Toronto man was also wanted in Orangeville and Fergus, Ontario as there were warrants for his arrest.

Intoxicated person(s)

Belleville, Ontario –On June 3rd, 2013 at 8:07 p.m., police attended at the crosswalk at North Front Street at Earl Street in relation to a male lying on the roadway. A 43 year old Belleville man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act.

On June 3rd, 2013 at 8:47 p.m., police attended on Dundas Street East near the hospital as a male was yelling at motorists. A 38 year old Belleville man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act.

Domestic Assault

Belleville, Ontario – On June 3rd, 2013 at 9:15 p.m., police attended at a residence on Zion Road in relation to a domestic disturbance. A 39 year old Belleville woman was arrested for Domestic Assault and held for a bail hearing. The victim was not injured.
