Accidents
Belleville, Ontario –On March
3rd, 2014 police responded to 4 accidents throughout the city. A total of 8 minor accidents including
parking lot accidents were reported at the Collision Reporting Centre.
At
12:05 p.m. police attended on North Front Street in relation to a two-car
accident. This investigation is
continuing. There were no reported
injuries.
At
12:14 p.m. police attended at the intersection of Sidney Street and Moira
Street West in relation to a three-car accident. One vehicle had to be towed from the
scene. This investigation is continuing. There were no reported injuries.
At
1:59 p.m. police attended at the intersection of Sidney Street and Bell Blvd.
in relation to a two-car accident. One vehicle was towed. A 60 year old man was
charged with careless driving. There were no reported injuries.
At
8:00 p.m. police attended on Bell Blvd. east of Wallbridge Loyalist Road in
relation to a hit-and –run accident. A
disabled pick-up truck was parked on the south shoulder of Bell Blvd. awaiting
a tow truck when an eastbound vehicle sheared off the truck’s driver’s side
mirror. The other vehicle slowed, but
continued eastbound without stopping at the scene of the accident. There were no injuries. The hit-and-run vehicle is described as a U
Haul "medium-sized” truck. The U Haul truck would have similar damage on the
passenger side. Any information can be

Traffic Stop – wanted
driver
Belleville, Ontario –On
March 4th, 2014, at 3:55 a.m. an officer on patrol conducted a
traffic stop on Cannifton Road. A check
on the driver revealed that he was a suspended driver. In addition, there was a warrant for his
arrest from Belleville for two counts of breach of probation. The 20 year old Belleville man was held for a
bail hearing on March 4th. He was also charged with driving under
suspension.
