Motor vehicle collision

Belleville, Ont – On September 3rd 2018 at 08:21 a.m. police attended to the area of North Front Street and Bell Boulevard for a two-motor vehicle collision.  Although no injuries were reported, there was major damage noted.  The vehicles had to be towed.  After completing the investigation, police charged a 58-year old city woman under the Highway Traffic Act with the offence of “improper left turn – multi-lane highway.”

 

Arrested on warrants

Belleville, Ont – On September 3rd 2018 city police arrested two people on outstanding arrest warrants.  The first, a 31-year old man of no fixed address was picked up by police in Kingston and transported to Belleville Police Headquarters.  He faces a charge of “failing to re-attend court.” He has not been released from custody.  He will have a bail hearing on September 4th 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.

On September 3rd 2018 at 4:30 p.m. a 27-year old city woman was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant for a charge of “failing to comply with a probation order.”  She too was held in police custody pending a bail hearing set for September 4th at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.

 

Arrested for threats

Belleville, Ont – On September 3rd 2018 at 8:50 p.m. city police were dispatched to a disturbance at a residence in the east end of the city.  An investigation revealed that a city man involved in this was wanted for the criminal offence of “uttering threats” from an earlier investigation.  The 60-year old man was arrested without incident and transported to the Belleville Police Service where he is being held pending a bail hearing on September 4th 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
