Motor vehicle collisions

Belleville, Ontario – On February 4th, 2019, at 2:32 p.m. police attended at the intersection of College Street East and Cannifton Road regarding a two-car collision. One motorist was charged with “Fail to Yield to Traffic on a through Highway”. There were no injuries.


On February 4th, 2019, at 3:12 p.m. a pedestrian was struck by a car on Bridge Street West at Sidney Street. The pedestrian was taken by EMS to BGH for treatment of minor injuries. The investigation is continuing.



Traffic charges

Belleville, Ontario - On February 4th, 2019, at 1:04 p.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop on Bay Bridge Road. The 35-year old woman was charged with Driving while under Suspension and Improper Licence Plates. She will appear in Traffic Court on March 4th, 2019.



Arrest on warrants

Belleville, Ontario – On February 4th, 2019, at 8:00 p.m. officers met with Durham Regional Police Officers and took possession of a woman wanted by the Belleville Police Service. 36-year-old Susan Hannah of Toronto, was held for a Bail Hearing in Belleville on February 5th, 2019. Her charges include: Fraud – 7 counts, Failing to Appear in Court – 3 counts, Possession of
Stolen Property – 2 counts, Theft of a Motor Vehicle, and Theft Under $5000.00.
