On the 5th of April 2009, around 3:00am, officers on patrol observed a large fight in progress at a North end
On the 05th of April 2009 shortly after noon hour Belleville Police received a call from a concerned citizen who nearly had their vehicle struck while parked in an east end plaza parking lot. The citizen provided a description of the vehicle, the driver and the passenger. Police located the vehicle and it became apparent that the passenger had become the driver. As a result of the investigation both the driver and passenger were read the roadside demand. The original passenger was issued a 12 hrs suspension. The original driver was arrested for over 80mgs and has a court date in May.
On April 5th, at 5:09 p.m., Police and the Belleville Fire Department responded to a report of a structural fire at the former
River Road remains closed in this area and as result there are road closure signs posted to this effect. Area residents are encouraged to use Hwy 62 or 37 as an alternate route.
Firefighters and Police remain on the scene as the Fire Marshall?s Office has been contacted.
