FIRE – Belleville ON

The Criminal Investigations Branch of the Belleville Police Service and investigators with the Office of the Fire Marshal are continuing an investigation into a fire at 13 Greene Street.

Investigators are looking to identify a male who is believed to have assisted at the scene shortly after the fire began, but before emergency crews arrived.

The male is described as having been driving by the scene around 1 p.m. Thursday in vehicle equipped for transporting people with physical disabilities.

The male is believed to have stopped at the home to assist with efforts to ensure the building was evacuated.
