Stolen vehicle

 

Belleville, Ontario – On February 4th, 2018, at 8:55 a.m. police took a report of a stolen vehicle from Haig Road. At 9:40 a.m. an officer on patrol observed the vehicle northbound on North Front Street. The vehicle was stopped and a 28-year-old Belleville woman was arrested. She was charged with taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent and will appear in court on March 15th, 2018.

 

Motor Vehicle Collisions

 

Belleville, Ontario – On February 4th, 2018, police responded to a total of 8 accidents.

 

At 12:10 p.m. a vehicle struck a parked car on Hastings Drive. There was minor damage. No charges were laid.

 

At 12:43 p.m. police attended on Dundas Street East at Haig Road in relation to a two-car accident. One driver was treated at the scene by EMS for minor injuries. Both cars were towed from the scene. The investigation is continuing.

 

At 1:15 p.m. police attended on Old Hwy 2 in relation to a single-vehicle accident as a car had ended up in the ditch. There was no damage to the car; nor were there any injuries.

 

At 1:21 p.m. a two-car accident occurred on Front Street at Dundas Street East. Both drivers attended at the police station to file an accident report. There were no injuries.

 

At 6:10 p.m. police attended on Dundas Street West at Sidney Street in relation to a two-car accident. The investigation revealed that one of the drivers was a suspended driver. A 33-year-old Consecon man was charged with driving while under suspension and careless driving. He will appear in Traffic Court on March 5th. His vehicle was impounded for seven days. The other vehicle was not drivable and was also towed. There were no injuries.

 

At 6:15 p.m. another two-car accident occurred behind the previous accident at Dundas Street West and Sidney Street. This resulted in only minor damage.

 

At 6:22 p.m. police attended on Front Street north of Victoria Avenue in relation to a two-car accident. There were no injuries, and the investigation is continuing.

 

At 11:00 p.m. police attended on Casey Road in relation a single-vehicle accident. A car had entered the north ditch. There was no damage to the car; nor were there any injuries.
